Welcome to DOM!

A project of the Make This World Foundation, Detroit Open Media (DOM) promotes community engagement and cultural exchange by providing member access to professional media tools and training. Make This World Foundation was founded in Detroit in 2009 with a mission to provide cause related media and marketing support to not-for-profit organizations. In this role the foundation produces outreach marketing including public service announcements and fundraising appeals on behalf of fellow non-profits.

The foundation also manages a community based online radio station GoodVibe.FM which provides a direct outlet for content produced in collaboration with partners. We’re an advocate for policies that encourage fairness and equal access to media and information. To date we’ve provided media coverage for community events and produced public service announcements for several local nonprofits. We will continue to extend our outreach to other local organizations that provide services within our targeted interest areas of Education, Environment and the Arts.
